Where the story began
The idyllic Austrian Alpine region of the Bregenzerwald has been home to Susanne Kaufmann and her family for generations. Rolling hills adjacent to rugged peaks, vast meadows and rare plant life are framed by cultivated land and the smell of homegrown herbs and colourful flora.
Susanne grew up immersed in an understanding of the local traditions and the beauty and wellness benefits that could be found in the plants that grew in abundance in the area, which have served as her inspiration for the brand since launching in 2003. Today the Susanne Kaufmann brand combines Susanne’s expertise in natural ingredients and skincare philosophy with her values for innovation and sustainable living, and she shares this with customers all over the world.

Susanne Kaufmann is the fifth generation of hoteliers to run the acclaimed hotel, and along with hotel director Stephanie Rist, they have designed a wellness retreat that focuses on the pillars of spa, nutrition, sports, sleep and the power of nature in the Bregenzerwald to optimise health and restore inner balance.
